More than 9 to 5
I was commissioned to create music for the pitch of a new independent documentary series entitled More Than 9 to 5.
The concept behind the series involved interviews with a range of people in various professions to understand how people derive satisfaction from their work.
The brief was to compose original music that was authentic and organic while remaining unobtrusive and sensitive to each subject.
Placements
THE SHADOW WITHIN
This remarkable short film was created in 2022 for a school art project by Rekha Levine – a 14 year old student in year 9 who wanted to explore Jung’s Shadow archetype through film.
The video melds footage shot by Rekha with samples of narration from Jung and Alan Watts as well as a mixed array of music from Minutiae and forthcoming album Intersections.
Compositions featuring saxophone and piano were taken from live recordings of Chris Potter. The faster, electronic piece was by Greg Levine.
Licensing
In addition to commissioned work, existing compositions can be licensed for placement on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis.
Original compositions usually contain enough sonic space for dialogue and are subtle enough to be used in dramatic applications.
